How To Remove Watermelon Stains?

Eating watermelon can get quite messy and you might end up with a stain on your favourite shirt… or even on your sofa.

But don’t panic – there are some simple steps you need to take in order to get rid of the stain. Watermelon stains aren’t difficult to remove in most cases.

How To Remove Watermelon Stains From Clothes

Of course, the most important thing is to be quick and remove all the excess watermelon immediately. Use a spoon to scoop it.

Then you should either flush the stain under running cold water or blot the stain with a damp cloth/ paper towel.

Then it’s time to treat the stain. Use laundry detergent to do that. Apply some on the affected area and rub it in with your fingers. Leave the product for 10-15 minutes then wash the clothing item as usual!

Once you take the clothing item out of the washing machine inspect whether the stain is removed. If it’s still there then move on to using oxygen-based bleach to treat the area. I recommend you dilute the bleach in cold water then submerge the entire clothing piece in there. Leave it overnight then wash as usual.
